5speed in a caprice

Does anyone have any info on how to convert a 91-96 caprice to either a 5speed or 6speed trans? Im sure someone has done this but Im not having alot of luck finding any info.

What kind of info?

What trans used. What pedal assembly? Drive shaft? Maybe some pics?

t56 from a camaro/corvette/firebird bolts up.. 5 speeds from fullsize chevy's bolt up.

Any smallblock tranny will work,The pedals you will have to make and your computer won't work unless it is a throttle body motor.You could pull the clutch pedal out of something else and send your computer for reprograming.Sound fun though.

And the drive shaft should be the same as a short tail manual.

Take a look at impalassforum.com there's a bunch of guys runnin t56's and the search there is really good.....
