c10 frame

i have a 79 gmc reg cab long bed. on the drivers side frame rail, there is a section on the bottom of it that hangs lower than the rest of the frame. i seen it on three other trucks my body style. i was wondering if there was any way to fix it.

all i did on my 85 was cut it out and plate it flat that was all..its a factory thing..stupid thing wouldnt let me lay out flat..

thanks im bout to bring bed to my house to sheetmetal whole inside of bed..shops being used to stock floor a blazer so no room..im shootin to have it driveable by spring fling..but we will see
