ok, i'm thinking of running a watts link on my sonoma when i redo the backhalf here shortly. mainly for the look cause i know little about them. so before i get myself into a big problem, what's the good and bad sides to these? i've heard all the good and bads to 2, 3, 4, 5, forward and reverse, etc. set ups, but nothing on the watts. so any info helps. thanks.

I just put a watts link on a friends avalanche i bagged and it works great, the clearance on the tires from the fender (side to side) is within a half an inch and when he corners low it doesnt even rub. I liked the performance so much, i ordered one for my truck. If there are cons, we havent noticed them yet. He gets great height also.

I'm not sure what the other threads say, but...

The pros are that the watts-link has a fairly low roll center (good for handling) and doesn't pull the rearend from side to side

The cons are that they limit travel (depends on the arm lengths) and finding a good mounting point can be a little complicated.

thats the problem with mine...

try a wishbone link or a KP link....most fullsizes use the watts link

yeah, i searched the other 2 but they didn't really point out any good or bad points. one was "what height to mount" and the other was "who sells". i can deal with the travel issue, so it looks like i'm gonna be using one on the sonoma. thanks guys.

you can build them to get over a foot of lift...

No way! You'll never get more than 11 7/8" out of it!
