I am putting a Grant steering wheel in my 88 toyota truck, and I removed the center bolt from the old wheel and disconnected the horn. However, the wheel will not come out is there another bolt? What is the trick on getting the old wheel out? Thanks for the help

screw the bolt in a few turns, pull on the wheel while wiggling left, right,up, and down and it will come off. the bolt keeps the wheel from busting you in the face when it comes loose

Put the nut back on the steering shaft, just enough where the threads are flush with the end of the nut. wiggle up,down, left, and right while pulling and it will come loose. The nut will keep you from busting yourself in the face with the wheel. dead on with that one. you can hit it with the palm of your hand on the sides and top and bottom alternating with pulling and wiggiling like dbdrager said. it will come off. good luck

with the 5 years of mechanics under my belt ive never gotten a steerign wheel off by hitting it it always comes off with a puller like it was meant to pop right off but it doesnt must have to hit it the rightway
