my 04 f150 has the 5.4 in it, for a while now its been ticking....sounds like its in the upper part of the engine, but i know $hit about engines...what could cause this. oil pressure is fine, always has been. always changed my oil...you get the idea. someone throw some ideas out there for me.

I know in the manuel for my lincoln which is the same engine, it says something about "Do not worry if there is a slight Knock in the enginge." I thought it was kinda of stupid that they made and enging that would know but sure as shit it does a little bit.

its a pos throttle by wire. prob spark knock from tryin to pump 300 ponies out on 83 octane..

that dam ticking is just your ac turning on -- turn your sc off and ticking is gone --- tada !!!!
