jensen parkin brake bypass

i bought the new jensen 9511ts and i put a toggle on the parkin brake ground and well that doenst work so i have to unplug the parkin brake wire and plug it back in and it works any other way around this?

should be able to just ground that wire. i know they are pulse activated now... in other words... u hafta press n let up on the p brake 3 times to activate the video, but im pretty sure if u ground it it should work.

I think once you turn on the unit you have to toggle the switch between on and off 2 or 3 times. There is some kind of sequence in most of the newer models, that is why you put the switch in there.

1) leave the switch off before you turn the truck on

2) once the radio comes on, switch to dvd mode.

3) turn switch on count one second

4) turn off count another second

5) turn back on and leave on, wait a sec.

i'm pretty sure that on the jensens and cheaper models you can just ground that wire. I did it on my valor cheapo indash i have. it just requires a negative trigger!

If you get on ebay they sell the code to enter to bypass it for a dollar buy it now. Thats your best bet you can just cycle(on for 3-5 secs then off for 3-5 secs then on) the switch but thats anoying.

You have to wire it to a switchm thats the only way on this model.

last years jensen, you just had to ground it, this years jensen needs to be on a toggle, that will work just put it on a switchible source.
