only part of the 700 that is electric is the TCC.. TCC lockup is after OD. if it wont even shift into OD, then its nothing electrical, probably a broken band. 4th and OD is the same thing, that tranny is 3 speeds, then OD being 4th.

What year is the truck? The transmission should have 12v souse coming out of the driver side of the transmission. The 12v souse is just to make the torque converter lock-up it into overdrive. The transmission is problem going into 4th gear but not locking-up into overdrive. I have switch turn the O.D. ON AND OFF.

you need to get an aftermarket TCC hookup like one from painless.. you also need the plug for the speedo to work, etc. you need the aftermarket to make the TCC work, unless you wanna get a computer out of a truck that came with a 700 and give it power and ground and wire the 1 wire to the tcc.

You can go to any tranny shop and exchange the tail shaft for cable drive one. You can go to web site http://bowtieoverdrives.com you can use tire calc tools find out what gear you need for your Speedo.
