I have an 88 toyota truck with a body lift 2" I think. Well I want to take the body lift out so I can lower it. I heard that there is a link or something with the steering column that has to be removed is this true? Also do you just have to undo the bolts and remove the spacer and bolt the body back on with the same bolts? Any ideas will help thanks guys

I cant speak specifically regarding Toyota trucks, but my jeep had one. When i removed it, i had to purchase new bolts, that were 2" shorter than the ones with the lift to get them to seat all the way and torque properly. I also had to remove 2 spacers that had been welded in and the 11 urethane spacers. But that was it. Research what comes with a body lift kit for that particular model, and you should be able to tell what youll need to remove. But your bolts will have to be replaced. You should be able to find something that will work at any bolt supply shop, just remove one, take it with you and if you dont know what to look for tell the clerk you need the same bolt only 2" shorter. Hope this helps.
