What do i need to look for as far as a good bag job? I'm going to look at a mazda that has been bagged and suppose to lay frame on Z71's with 40 series tires.

i dont know bout the geometry part but i'd look for welds that are sloppy. Any rust on the notch or link setup. When air up or dumped if the rear end moves side to side or front to back etc. Make sure the front cups are not rubbing. Check to make sure they notched for tie rod. See if anything drags that aint supposed to also. I.E. gas tank crossmembers exhaust pipes etc. Check pinion angle too. Not sure how to myself but bring someone who can. Then drive it and check the usual stuff on used vehicles. If it checks out okay i say buy it. Just look for the common sense stuff and you should be okay i think.

Just make sure its not all HACKED! Make sure the bag brackets, link tabs, Etc. are welded good. Make sure nothin leeks like the pinion seal, brake lines, etc. Check and make sure the frame is not drug thru or bent.

Cool. I think i should be safe with the truck seeings how it has been bagged for 4 years... hopefully he has worked out all the bugs. It's a 88 b2200 bagged on z71's , new tires, lays out, shaved doors and corners. he is asking 2800... if it checks out i'm going to try to get it for 2500. It use to be a "show truck" back in the day...(it was fushia with a simulated ragtop) LOL! Thanks guys for the help.

Well i got it! He forgot to mention that it has 4wd fenders, hood and bed! I just know that i'm gonna have to have a bigger compressor... the one that is on it is old school and kinda slow. How much psi can you safetly put in ur bags? I'm running 70 psi in front to keep the tires good but it will hit 100 psi. I'm sure i'll have loads of questions seeings how this is my first bagged vehicle. Thanks!

Just depends what kinda bags u got.... The slam XS is rated at 600 psi, but most bags are rated at 200 psi. Since u said its been bagged awhile and the comp is old skool, i assume that the bags are old as well. 100 psi wouldnt be a prob. Unless u have a couple of bad ass compressors ur prolly not gonna pump more than 150-180 psi to your tank. As long as you dont ride around with more than 150 in them you wont have a prob. I dont hardly EVER have more than 80 in mine! Thats the whole point in havin a bagged truck is to ride LOW! Lol. Get some pics up when you can.

It will probably be a week before i get my pics up but be on the look out for them. It's fushia with flake in some spots, 2tone primer on the bed and that eggshell primer on the front corners.... I'm gonna have to get it one or two colors. I found out it has conti bags... still don't know about the commpressor. Later!

Congrats on the new truck, and a bagged one at that. Take a look at the link in my signature and that may answer questions you never knew you had.
