ok heres my new problem i have 2 toyotas im in the process of redoing the link on my body dropped one and i measured for axle placement on my other one at ride height because its only lowered like 4 inches in the back on stock leafs it was 35.5 inches from the back of the cab at ride height, both trucks are single cabs, same body style same tranny etc, but when i set my axle up on my other truck theres only about a 1" of engagement on the slip yoke and if the axle rotates just barely the driveline falls out! anyone have any advice or maybe a couple measurements they can share at ride height the axle is centered in the wheel well so i dont want to move it foward again

if your pinion angle is way up or way down that would happen. if the pinion angle is good, then you might need to lengthen the driveline.

as long as the wheel is centered in the wheel opening and the pinion angle is good, id drop the dough on the driveline. nothing irks me more than wheels not centered in the opening.

On my 91 yota i didnt have any problems with my driveline like you do. It sounds like your 4 link isnt installed right.

depending on how the set your truck up. the 4 link can be in wrong. pinion can be off or nothing might be wrong just someone forgot to redo the driveshaft. i set up the truck i do with the rear end centered inthe wheel well at all times which makes the drive shaft to short. i have the drive shafts remade to fix the problem.

thats the problem i had i centered the axle to the center of the wheelwell and it was about a 1" to 1 1/2" to short now, where before when it was layed out the axle was sucked way in but it was due to the fact i had a 2 link also i was just hoping i wasnt going to have to shorten my links now i just need to find a driveline shop
