My 91 yota 22re is runnin like shit. it gave code 43. i need to know wat this code means.

code 43 is starter signal circuit, ignition circuit, or ECU are you sure its a code 43 its an odd ball code that usually pops on when theres a no start condition

if the truck starts and there seems to be no kind of problem like delayed starting or anything else related to starting then starting circuit is ok. there might be a problem wth the ignitor going out as well as the ignition module. if you have an extra ignition coil assembly try and replace it. see what the truck runs like, if thats doesnt solve anything. look for any cut wires, ground wire not hooked up, blown fusable links, fuses, shorts. the likly hood of the ECU going out is pretty slim but it does happen.
