be carefull not to do 2 much. I have custom arms on my dually that are 1" shorter and it killed the amount of lift I get cause the upper ball joint comes about 1/4" from the bag at the point my ball joint bottems out. It could be done 2 far where it will hit. Also just make sure u reinforce it, and u should have no problem, keep everythign straight, use a band saw if you are sectioning your stock ones.

are you talking about sectioning the control arms?? because im just sectioning the control arm mounts. im just moving them up 1''. is this enough to lay flat or will i still have to z the frame a little

1" is enough if you trim the bottom of the crossmember. I would move both lower mounts up at the same time, while they are bolted to the crossmember so it holds them straight. Then for the steering, what I did was redrill the holes 1" higher on the frame, and resleeve them. And I moved the steering box mount on top of the frame up as well. I notched the bottom of the frame on the drivers side with 1.5" tube to clear the castle nut on the pitman arm.
