I've decided to go with a toyota front clip on my wagon. I read a post that said you could get 8 or 9inches of lift on it. Is this true and do you need to run a drop spindle? I was going to do a Mustang II but I need a lot of lift. Any suggestions would be great. Im trying to get a clip now but cant find one near me.

depending on how its done. i can get up 14 inches of lift out of a toy front end. it all depends on how the set up is

Damn! I only need 8-9inches. Let me know how you have it setup.

I had 11 inches on the front of my yota.

What years should I look for? 89-94? Or will the older years work too?

Basically 79-95 is the same clip. The only difference is the spindles and the idler arm on the pre-84 clips. So anything in that range will work. PM me if you want some pictures of how my front end is set up, I have some really good pictures. I get over 10" lift at 100 PSI and have plenty of travel left.

its mainly in the ball joints and eliminating the strut rods.
