put allot of clear over it then color sand that flat

Also try to butt colors up to each other so u dont have so tall of lines. Takes lil extra masking but worth not having to do so much clearing/sanding/clearing

Depends if it's a solid or metallic. You could sand it a little if it's a solid. Without having to spray it again.

I use PPG's DBC500 it's a clear base used to check your blend and level graphics a little. You mix it 1:1 with DT Reducer's. That way you dont have use so much clear to level it off

they have an ineer coat clear that you can put on inbetween every few colors then sand down and do your next color check out craig fraisers book cheap tricks and special effects shines a hole lot of light on the subject

it depends on what you're talking about, if it's graffix, just clear it heavy.

if it's like door jambs where you're only doing the outside of the door & qtr pnl it goes like this:lets see if i can explain it well...take your 3/4" tape & fold it back on itself (sticky side to sticky side) in thirds. you can run the non sticky side along your knee & use your thumb to control the fold.

not sticky--> /\ not sticky--> / \ not sticky--> / / not sticky--> / / not sticky--> / not sticky--> / not sticky--> / it's called softline masking & you run the folded edge along the place you would normally hardline, then the paint can blow under the part of the tape that's folded over.

i know that's a terrible description, but if it makes no sence i can take a few pics & post them for you if you want...good luck!

depends on the subject like corey said if it's your door jamb etc edge blend it make sure you roll the tape small though or your material will blow in under it makin it look worse than a hard line. if it is actual graphics two tone etc best is to paint you ride tihe whole first color clear it color sand it re mask it tape your second color re clear it color sand etc etc. its called clear sessions it's better than just burying the lines out with clear you do that you might run it or worse get solvent pop or dis coloration.....

yah, folding the tape does help a good bit. it wont be a feathered edge, but it will cause for a little bit better blend.
