Hey i was gonna do a black and candy green paint job *two-tone*. On my 89fullsize chevy and wanted to know if there was any color green like a metalic green. No lime green. Like a darker green emerald green. Of something to that affect. I can't afford a candy paint job. But wanted to know if i could buy paint that was close in color to candy green and just lay it in a base coat clear coat manner. Any questions concerns or critisizm? Any help would be great! Thanks fellas.

any coarse metallic dark green should give somewhat of the effect you'd like. The problem with candies is that they are a die, so the base colour, tipically silver, or golds, shine through while the transparent candy colours just tint the metallics.

So If I were you I'd roll down to your local paint supplier, or body shop and have a look through their chips. My 2006 Sikkens book has some bad ass colours in it, but they are balically just oem chips. But if you have a competent paint rep then they should be able to mix a candy knock off without any problems.

you should look into HOK (KBC) Kandy basecoat. They have it in organic green. It's darker like an emerald green. You would base the whole truck black first, tape your two-tone break and spray the KBC on the other half. The stuff is awesome. It really mimics a true kandy finish

^^ yea, what he said. HOK bascoat Kandy is the easiest "candy" to spray. Looks like a candy but without the two step process.
