ok, heres the deal, i just got me a 98 toyota tacoma about 2 1/2 months ago. i thought it had firestones on it,( i wanted new) so i got some slams r6 and went to see how the bolts line up, the ones on my truck now, the bolt to bolt its like 1 3/4 in and the slams are alittle bit more, like 2 3/5. its hard to tell what brand i have now, but it seems liek they are contitects.what can i do. do i need anything new? can i dril a hole for em to bolt up on the brackets in back? the front, is it gonna be more work up there for em? any help, please. thanks.

oh yea, since i cant tell what brand they are, any thing i can look for to tell? cause the name must be covered by the bracket/bridge. thanks

There should be plenty of room on your Tacoma's front suspension for a Slam RE-6, and every front bag bracket I've ever seen had room for the Slam's bolt pattern, so I don't think it matters what bag is on there now- just get it off of there and drill a couple new holes, and you'll be all set!
Every Firestone bag I've ever seen had the same bolt spacing as a Slam, but I've seen a few Contis that were smaller (the ones we used to carry were made to the Firestone pattern), so that may be what's up there.
If you're switching from Contis to Slams, post back up here with your thoughts about ride quality and lift- I think you'll be happy!
Good luck.
