ebay audio? and kicker l7

has anyone bought amps, or subs, etc. from ebay? i'm looking at an L7 12" 750w rms subwoofer for $205 shipped. also, what would be a good amp to run this? i'm lookin for sq and spl. it will be in a spec ported box and pioneer HU. my dad bought a pioneer HU and a no-name billet grille. both were really cheap but are awesome quality and look great. i just don't have experience with ebay audio equipment. thanks guys

It is more about the seller than the equiptment on Ebay. Look at the sellers rating, and read all of the feedback left for them. If there are neg. comments, make sure they where resolved or don't do buisness with them. If the rating is good, make sure they have a lot of good feedback, not just a couple. Also, buying audio equp. online is risky anyway you do it, unless you use a reputable dealer. They could be selling re-conditioned stuff, or even gray market sales ( wich basicly means you won't get any help with waranty). Just research the seller, and even contact them first to make sure they are legit.

I bought 2 18" solo x's and 2 orion 2500d amp on there and the price is almost half, the quality is great, I got new equip not refurbished. and that shhhhit hits hard.. the solox are 649 each and they retail 1200, and the amp is like 329 each and they retail for 800-900 you get a good deal.

thanks guys. the only audio i bought off ebay was a 400w max. visonik amp which is powering a 250rms/400wmax. visonik sub i got from a friend for $20 bucks. i have it in my girls car. it's nice for a daily driver, nothing special. but i want to get a first gen. nissan frontier as my slammed d.d. and have some nice beats. i know visonik isn't the best brand but i got a sub and amp combo for $85 so it works for her and me both which is very,very important. she didn't like my 500wrms 12" PG xenon with 600wrms hifonics zeus amp. thanks guys.

I bought a pioneer preimer CD player off ebay and have had no probs at all do like the guy said above and concentrate on the feedback more than anything,

Like they said...just check the feedback, make sure they are reliable...make sure its new not refurbished....but yeah ive bought all my stuff off ebay (L7, memphis amp, moniter, cap, dvd player)...its all done great for me, and i prob. saved a good 800 dollars

hey drew barry, what memphis amp did you get? is it just powering the sub? how much was it? i need suggestions on a good amp to run the L7.

I got a Memphis 500 Class D......my l7 is a 10....but this amp pushes it great...i think i got it for 250, and at the time it was a 600 dollar amp....with the setup i got with 1 L7 im at 134 DBs.....not much, but good for one sub i think...

Is it a online store or a personal auction? All of our (Kicker) online dealers are selling refurbished product, but that should be going through a change since our rebuild department just got moved to different duties. So Kicker will no longer have refurbished subs. Other than than just watch the feedback.

i've bought lots of stuff off ebay, just make sure you check shippings costs before bidding, sometimes they rip you off big time
