what can be used for balljoints on tubular arms: JOHNNY JOINTS, UNIBALLS, HEIMS, ROD ENDS???? where can i buy whichever large enough to use as a balljoint for tubular arms and bushings for the ends of link bars or a-arms. and how do you attach the suggested rod end to the spindle (bolt with bushing?)????

saw the heim on xtreme 4x4 break on that project ranger, dont want that to happen. any help appreciated

There are many different ways to address ball joints, anything eurathane is not a good idea (way too much flex.) If you choose to go with a spherical bearing (heim or uni ball) of some sort, then you can use a 3/4" part. If you want to spend money to feel good, you can use a 7/8" heim with a 3/4" ball, but that's not necessary on a mini (a good idea on a full size tho.) The way that I attach the spherical to the spindle is too weld the misalignment to the spindle. That makes for a solid attachment with little strain on the bolt. If you choose to use a heim joint, stay away from the CM series heims and use the JMX or RCM if you just have to spend money. I haven't found an outlet for low quality uni balls, but I'm sure they are out there so make sure and ask if they are at least JMX quality.

Because I weld the misalignment to the spindle I can use a 1/2" bolt with no worries (more angle from the misalignment) the bolt only does clamping dutys. I still always use at least a grade 8 bolt with a nyloc nut.

beautiful!!! I am so glad you mentioned the JMX and RCM. By the way you should change your quote to: "Educating Minitruckers since 19??" you fill in the question marks.
