I have 78 blazer with flipped rear and notched frame.truck sits really low for some reason, springs are ok etc.had to use big tires to keep it up.I bagged front and was thinking of putting 2-3 inch blocks on rear and then putting bags to bring it back up.I was wondering if this is to hard on the bags, carrying the weight of the truck and pushing on the springs as well, thanks

well if you are thinking of putting bage on it just take the time a link it to. then its done and you willn't have to worry about the bag stress

I agree with Jason. You can get away with just bagging what you have, but it will ride stiff. The leaf springs, w/ blocks, with a bag is not at all desireable, but it is still doable. There are many cheap 4-links that will make for a far superior ride. And handling.

i have an 05 f150 that is lowered in the back with shackles, but it is mt tow truck so i put bags in the back to carry the weight. The truck has stock leaf springs with the bags and it rides fine. hope that helps

I agree with Bio. If you have the time and skill, a 4 link is a much better option. One difference between leaf springs and a 4-link is that in some cases, the leaf springs will still support some of the weight of the vehicle. Ultimately with the bags over the axle, the bags will actually be under less stress, and will take less pressure to get to ride height. UNLESS, the leaf spring is totally flattened or so many leafs are removed that it has no spring left to it. Ive bagged FWD minivans with leaf springs in the rear, so Ive had to dearch the leaf about 6 inches to get the drop, and using 2500's can get the rear up very easily. The leaf is still loaded just cant support all the weight. The bag acts as a helper to bring it back up.
