Since I've done alot of research on the subject, I'll throw some of it out to clarify.
If you want to run a 4G63 north/south here are a few things to know. There are two different bellhousing patterns in the family, a wide and narrow. And 4G63 that comes out of a car will be narrow for a generalized definition. As for the the D50/Mazda trannies you'll have to adjust accordingly. The B2600 (not an B2600i) manual is a wide pattern, an auto from a 2.0 D50 is wide, a manual from a 2.0 D50 is narrow. So, if you want to use a 4G63 out of a car, 1 or 2g Eclipse etc., then you'll need a manual out of a 2.0l D50. You can get wide pattern 4G63s as well, and this is the better route to go. The B2600 tranny is much stronger than a D50 manual, most guys can only get the D50 tranny to take 250 hp reliably.
Hopefully that helps some, just a brief overview.
