K, heres what i'm thinking...cutting the frame of my truck off at the back of the cab and just having a 4-link support the axle...good idea? Im not gunna run a bed, so im not worried about mounts or anything like that...i want it to look like a chopper type truck...opinions and advice are welcome!

where are yo ugoing to mount the upper bag bracket?

I was thinking about having the frame come out about 6 in. from the back of the cab and make some tubing connect to bag cups on the bars...

dude...i was so thinking about this not even a week ago, basically a swing arm rear suspension on a truck. you'd need really beefy mounts for everything and all obviously, i'd suggest more than a standard 4 link. but what would you do with your fuel cell, air management, etc. my idea would be to use an old school t-bucket style round tank mounted to the back of the cab. but still, air tank, compressors, and all that need a mounting spot. if you can work that out, it'd be an awesome idea.

What about mounting a crotchrocket(motor, trans, and swingarm) to the back of the truck and put all your air stuff, fuel cell, etc under the hood where the engine use to be? It would be a reverse 3 wheeler. We need a photoshop done to see. Maybe someone will do a quick freebie.

That just sounds ugly. Lol.

It would definitely be different!

Im thinkin about having a gas tank fabbed behind the seat in the cab, kinda like the old trucks...also im thinkin about doin a calicombo on the rear of the cab...as for the tanks, im gunna get some slim tanks and mount them on the frame rails under the cab...as for the compressors, im thinkin about mounting them on the firewall out of the way of the tires...

That will definatly draw some attention. People won't follow you on the road for the fear of something falling off your truck. It would really be different though. Hope it works. I don't really see how it would but i hope it does.

sounds exactly like nick crouches chopper mini idea, see the photoshop section for his rendering, cool idea he had, pretty sure if yours turns out like his it will be cool.
