It seems like everybody i've heard of sayed they had to z the frame to lay flat up front. I don't know how far though. Good luck with it.

i didn't have to Z my 86 and it lays frame rails flat

Your wheel size plays into alot. you can either section your front engine crossmember, or do a "z". With a Z your going to have to redo you steering shaft (from steering box to your column) , and cut your bumper horns how ever much your trucks front motor section was notched. cut firewall, new trans tunnel. Also about 1.75" to 2" will have to be trimmed from the bottom of your frame to lay rocker. Relocate your gas tank- link it out.

ok, so do i need drop spindles?? and yeah i know about the steering shaft and trans tunnel. so cut off 2.5" of bottom of frame under the cab, 4 inch Z, what else?? ive read of some body mount mod or something??and i want to do a traditional body drop on this truck, but im not exactly sure how it works, im tryin to figure out do you cut the floor along the door sill line, at the firewall and at the rear of the cab back? and then raise it up say 3" and use some 3" 1/8" thick flat stock to fill the gap??

ok depending on wheels youll need a spindle and a arm set up....you can lay out with that but you engine x member sits lower then the frame so like said before you either section it and do a traditonal bd and yes yo have the basic idea...or z the front clip and section the factory frame...and not to be a dick but if you havent done this before i would read everything you can find on any bd to see where people messed up and get there pointers then talk to everyone with a c10 thats bd and find the little vehicle specifics

ok so should i do stock floor or traditional body drop? which one is more work? i mean seems kinda easy to put 2x3 under the cab and move the body mounts down a few inches?? seems easier than cutting the entire floor out and moving it up?? i know then all i would have to do is remake the trans tunnel.

you need to look into stock floor and regular bd and figure out which one you can handle.

A 4wd tranny tunnel will fit after a BD.

okay, so whats the deal with the front bag cups and plates?? what does everyone run? just the upper plates and no bottom cups? i know some folks say dont run the lower cups or something like that... what way to achieve max drop???
