I recently purchased a 91 hardbody that needs some fixing on the current setup, but i love it so i'm dealing with it. Anyways, when the guy bagged it, he loosened the torsions all the way off, but never pulled them out. With 2500 stones and drop spindles, i only clear a 205/40/17 by 1.5" at most. is the torsion being in place, binding it up?

sounds like your bag mounts need to be redone. you can lay rocker and clear a 245/35/20 with a 2500.

the torsion won't keep you from getting lift

not the problem but take them out anyways

I just pulled the front apart b/c its 5 lug swapped the ghetto way. I didnt do it, but i was checkin for grooves in the spindle, etc. and i noticed that the 2500 is nowhere near the frame. the bag IS fully deflated when laid out, but i'm thinkin b/c the guy stuck the bottom part of the bag so far towards the spindle, its not at an optimum ratio? i'm not 100% sure. but at least i know it can be better..

i am going to redo it all when it warms up anyways.. the rear lays out with the front.. but when youd rop the rear with the front up, it wont lay out.. had bed off and its not bottoming out on anything.. so something has to be in a bind.. be it shocks or the 4 link..

thanks guys, i'll add it to the list.
