mine lays fine without having to notchthe lower control arm. are you running drop spindles???

no im not running drop spindles and i dont want to. im like 3/4" from the ground and my bag still has a good inch of bag travel and my lower balljoint os flipped. im also running a 24.1" tire the same as a 215/35r18. so if i notch it i should lay.

nevermind i am using toy stuff forgot sorry prob why i didnt need to notch my stuff also im running 19s so all that combined i guess it didnt need it

You shouldn't need to notch them at all. I am running a 225/35R18 and I can lay, without spindles or flipped ball joints!

Hmmm....

i notched my buddy's for 195/60/15 which is like 25" tall. i just torched it out till it layed. cut quite a bit out. been like that for over an year and no probs. if i were to do it again, id re-enforce it somehow though.

just trim the part that goes around the frame, you can see where it is hitting, it leaves a mark on the lower.

You need to make sure your strut rods dont hit the tie rod though, you can get a lot more drop than the strut rod/tie rod will let you go down, so a lot of guys notch it before they bodydrop it, then they body drop the truck and lower the whole front crossmember which lowers the strut rods and bang. Hits the tie rods. Insta screwed. I recommend just dropping the ears of the crossmember, which alleviates this problem.

I dont think only needing 3/4 you will have a problem though.

you can trim about a half inch off and be fine. my old truck is still riding around and thats what i did to make it lay.
