find a good donor pic ?

i use a donor pic. with a black background .. like a picture of a truck dragging at night

and invert colors so its on a white background and the flames turn l ike purple. and then use the healing brush and on the same layer make a copy of them and then delete the original and recolor the new ones and overlay/burn and go from there.. thats the easiest way ive found to get true fire and sparks without nasty lasso lines and hardlines...

ditto on the donor pic....

no real effect that you can do to achive anything cool looking, maybe take a whole bunch of little stroke lines and make them look like sparks. add some glow and color em orange, would end up looking pretty cartoonish but it'll work

i tried the line method and this is what i got. im not a pro but i think it came out alright.....

Donor pic sounds like the best idea.

I have added alot more sparks to a draggin shot by duplicating the sparks. Trying to make them is not a good idea unless you have alot of time and are good with the program you are using.
