Rules or not, it looks kinda silly.

If I was really into racing diesels, I'd just run temporary stacks. In theory you could bastardize an exhaust cut out to re-route the exhaust through the temporary stacks. Then change it back and take off the stacks after the race. At least that way you wouldn't look like a total tool driving around town.
