Got one I'm doing on 22's and the upper balljoints are binding. Looked searched on here and talked to some guys that all said use the 96-98 one ton uppers and put 1/2 ton balljoints in em. THe old arms had new balljoints but they don't work because the two holes closest to the frame don't line up. Anyone got a part number on ones that'll bolt up. Do I just need to get half ton ones for a 96-98 1/2 ton? Truck is a 90 I think. Are they different on some years? Thanks for any help.

i dont think that the 1/2ton balljoints will line up to be honest, ive heard of guys running a 02 ford lighting upper balljoint. 1/2 ton trucks are 1/2 ton trucks 88-98. I kept the 3/4 ton ones, and drilled out my spindles. i may have been misinformed, just trying to help.

I'm not sure if they will work with 22's but you can go to NAPA and ask for some AUTODRIVE Part # K6292 balljoints. They are a generic balljoint made for different applications so the slot is cut higher. But I'm really not sure if they are cut high enough to lay on 22's. You might take an old balljoint and compare them. They don't cost alot but don't let that fool ya. They are made by MOOG in the good ol' USA.
