I wanted to see if any of you guys had any ideas on my newest problem so here goes.I have a 96 ex. cab gmc body dropped 3 1/4". i have 2" drop spindles and tubular upper and lower arms with firestone 2600 bags. The truck has 22's with 265/35 tires, the truck lays hard as hell but now my problem is that it's not getting enough lift to clear the tires.I never figured i would have a problem with that but hey....it's always something right!haha I thought about running bigger bags to get more lift but i don't know if they will compress far enough for the truck to still lay out. Please shot some ideas if ya have any

sounds like the bag cups are to short.check and see if the bags are fully compressed at drop.if not then make a new lower cup an inch or so taller.that truck should put the top control arm down on top of the frame at full lift.should be plenty of lift.

yes the bags are fully compressed at drop. That was the first thing i checked. That is why i am lost. i am wondering now if maybe i didn't get enough presure in the bags.????

firestone bags are most likely your problem. I've got 2" spindles, reangled upper arms, sectioned lowers, slam re7's on 265/35/22's on a 3" BD, and can untuck my tires a couple of inches and lock up my suspension. 3" upper cups, .75" lower cups, and my bags dont fully compress when laid out either.

either the firestone bags or see if your ball joints may be binding

Hey Kyle, just curious how good your truck rides, and what's your ride height pressure? If you haven't heard, I MAY be trading the S-10 for a BD'd Tahoe, but the only thing is it isn't getting much lift over the tires either. That's one of my hang ups b/c I don't want to be fully locked at all times just to clear tires...lol

aight, i had the same problem, i got the same truck as you with the same size tires, this is what i did, slam re7s, 190 psi, works perfect jus make sure your bags are fully compressed, firestones wouldnt do it for me either, mines layed to the doors and ive drug almost half an inch off the doors now, i stll get plenty of lift, i had to skin my hood to get them to fit undre it, hope this helps ya

chris-My ride height in the front is about 85, which is tucking about 2" of rim. To fully untuck the tires, it takes 115psi. The rear ride height is around 80, and untucks tires at 130psi, which is where the rear end gets max lift

Heck yeah...may have to look at the Tahoe a little closer now..
