a buddy of mine had a panhard and it pulls so bad at full lift that the tire rubs against the notch.

thats because it is setup improperly

Pretty sure that was his point...

Anyway is there any reason a link/trac/drag-link/rod/bar would have any advantage over watts links?

im lost, circle what a tractor bar is in that pic......

A tractor bar is where you go to pick up tractors for one night plows.

I like how he calls panhards "crappy" as the pinion angle on the truck points at his interior domelight.

Not judging, just an observation.

the advantage is that there easier to install but watts links have no side to side motion because of the 2 bars fighting against eachother while traveling in the same arc. some people just cant get their minds wrapped around a watts and go for the panhard due to ease of install

thats my truck on the first post, and how dose the pinion angle point up at the dome light?????its ok Russ-d 2 be wrong sometimes, and i guess panhard bars arent crappy if ur not switch happy, but i am and they wouldnt work for me,y use something that makes ur rearend articulate when u can use a track bar or watts link and raise and lower the truck and not have any movement?????

Watts links have a few flaws.

ya it does look like its sagging just a bit on the driverside but then again the pic is takin more on the pass side so it looks lower on the driver side

your biggest prob is going to be pinion becaus as the suspension cycles the relationship between the pinion angle and the rear end is going to change significantly.

because a 2 link changes your pinion angle throughout the entire swing of motion

Also a panhard does not "articulate" It simply pulls the axle straight to one side or the other, had one on my truck for years and never had a problem with it, it's called buying wheels that aren't a millimeter from the edge.

Also diagonal links have been used on race cars for YEARS and yes, we know they work, however I want to be able to DRIVE my truck throughout the ENTIRE range of travel, that's why I have a four link :weld:
