ok so im trying to see if this email is a scam or not. i have gotten several emails that i could pic out right away but this one i'm not 100% sure on. his email said is the vehicle still forsale and whats the asking price so right there im guessing its a scam since my asking price is right there on mautofied. i simply wrote him back and this is the response that i got from him
"Thanks for your immediate response.Asking price is okay.Presently I am off the shores of Angola with my family where I work as a Drilling Engineer on the coastal explorations with Exxon Mobil Oilfields. So I will need to ask a colleague from my home town in Texas to send you a Certified Check .Please send me your address, full name and telephone number so that I can instruct my colleague to send you the Check.Since that is the only means of payment I can offer now due to my present location.Do not bother about the shipping to Angola I have a shipping agent who will come over to the USA to ship some of my items from my home in Texas so he would also come over to your house for pick up of the car. Please reply asap."
id appreaciate any and all the help towards this since espically since i am not planing on selling my car unless i was offered what i was asking.
theres only a few oil companies that do that line of work, so he only had a few to pick from. And he could be out there for a few years, so it would be pointless to buy any truck.
It's a scam...they send you the check and pick up the car, and then they report the check stolen or something like that, so when you go to cash it, you get in trouble, you get no money, and they have your car.
