i was working with some deflection calculations to see what kind of tubing i wanted to use. but this will sound stupid but what kind of steel is everyones tubing.

im assuming you are speaking about materials used for a frame? ive only seen people use run of the mill CR steel.......

The only reason that I would use 4130 rec tubing is if I needed to save weight. And then I would use round tubing instead of rec. Rec 4130 is $$$$.
What exactly are you trying to do?
