motor swap questions??? NEED HELP

ive got a 99 gmc sonoma with the 4.3 v6. the motors fucked so im lookin to replace it with a v8. what will bolt up and how much work is involved. ive heard the 350 will work, but with a lot of modifications to the firewall n shit, so thats out of the question.

also, anyone in FL lookin to get rid of a motor n tranny with low miles?

i think any V8 swap requires firewall modification. If i didnt want to mess with the firewall i would just get another 4.3, but thats just a suggestion.

The 350 would be awesome. You have a few clearance issues with the distributors. But other than that it's only 3-4 wires for the whole motor! Thats of course with an hei setup! Good luck with it!

Whether you go with a 350 or 305 or even a 383 sbc motor, you're gonna require the same amount of room to mount the motor.
