tank&compresser in ful size blazer?

I was wondering what size of power wire to run to compresser to back of my blazer,I don,t want to have a battery in with me of course.Should I use the same size as is on comp. which is 8 or 10 gauge

well im not an expert but if it were me, i would run the 8 gauge. just an idea tho, a buddie of mine runs a single 4 gauge wire to a spliter/fuse box in the back of his truck. he uses it for multiple sub amps. if your gonna run the single 8g wire all the way to the back, it might be a good idea to have a fuse on it somewere
