Alright guys here is the story.. A guy I work with has a 94 GMC Sierra 4.3 Vortec reg. cab shortbed widebed. Its been hit in the front and has very little frame damage, he has all the sheetmetal to put it back togethr the truck runs strong but has 185,xxx miles on it. He has reciepts on everything he told me $750 for the truck. What do you think>? other than the frontend the whole truck is in great shape and interior looks almost perfect. Is this a good deal in your opinion? let me know what you think.. Thanks in advance

What do you mean "very little frame damage"? Is that a bent bumper bracket, or a tweaked frame?

really depends on where that frame damange is at...

if that frame is outta straight it can sometimes be a LOT of work to get it tweeked back right.

unless you buy it stock floor it with a full frame and drive it?

Then its worth 750 to me... and to me thats what i would do with it.

on the driverside where the frame comes down a little to go to the front right behind the core support bent like maybe a quarter to half inch.. other that that the whole frame is in good shape..

Did he ever have the motor rebuilt? 185,000 on a 4.3 in a full size truly amazes me.

I dont know if it has been rebuilt or not But I know he has had it for some time now and has taken good care of it minus the wreck..he gave me an envelope full of reciepts on parts and there is some dated like 3 yrs ago.. I am gonna get it and was thinkin if needed just cut that section out and put a new piece in since its not that much

My 4.3 fullsize had 180,XXX on the original motor, and still ran strong. Dunno why it amazes you

I woud buy it, if its just the end of the rail. Our frame guys would tweak it back for under $500 if its as minimal as you say it is.
