Ok guys i am lost and pissed. My 91 square body has some issues. So here it goes. Going down the freeway one day a car hit the car infront of me i hit the brakes so hard that I had flatspots on my front tires and brake light came on. Got the tires fixed light would not go off so i replaced the Hydroboost, Master cylinder and shoes and pads. Light was still on. Me and my brother bleed and bleed the brakes til finally had pedal and no light. Now a month or 2 later driving i noticed they were soft and light now comes on when i apply the brake. Any ideas?

Are any of your brake hoses/lines soft? Sometimes when you stab the pedal real hard the heat from the brakes will heat the fluid and boil it for a very short time and weaken the hoses. Therefore causing a bulge in the hose when you apply the brakes giving you a soft pedal.

I kind of had the same problem but once I cleaned out the 18yrs of goo that was used for brake fluid they worked a lot better and I ended up replace'n the flex lines and that was even better

also the rubber deal in the lid of the master resivor gets pin holes and that can give you problems

Don't be such a pussy. Brakes are highly overrated.

Lines look good. I went to Checker and they are saying they gave me the wrong master cylinder. My should be Cast insted of plastic with the JB8 system. The one I took off was plastic?
