Texas Laws and PoPo

I was just restationed at Fort Bliss Texas (El paso)

I was wondering what the inspection laws and also cop laws are like down here before i bring my Mazda down from PA, Any info would help alot. Thanks

Anything in paticular u want to know? Weber carb isn't legal, but I have yet to find a inspector that notices that its different.

Really depends on where you are at and I am not sure about El Paso. Like in San Antonio we do not have testing for inspection so that is easy. I have no cat and the exhaust dumps before the axel. I also have never had a problem with my clear lights. Even when DPS pull me over they never say anything but for some reason they do not like LEDs.

Really not sure on all the laws on that stuff, but there are some places here you can get to "PASS" your truck for the TSI. Hit me up sometime man.

My main questions are

Are bags legal?

Does the police care if a trucks laid out in a parking lot or whatnot

What kind of vehicle inspections do you have here

bags are legal as long as you dont adjust them moving faster than 15mph. some counties require emissions testing which makes the inspection about 45 bux if you live in a county that does not require it. you can get away with almost anything. and the inspection is 12.50. everyonce in a while you will run into the asshole redneck cop that got picked on in highschool and they will profile you a little bit just play it cool and they usualy let you go easy. around here (dfw outskirts) they pull you over just to check your shit out.

Were i'm from it takes 12.50 and a 12 pack of longnecks to get my truck inspected. I havent' had any problems from the laws with my truck. I was pulled over one night wasted draggin and didn't even get a warning. It all depends on who you know.
