my old 82 crew had a small block in it and did just fine, even with all the ca smog equip. when it fineally gave up I put a 366 in for some reason and wished I would have rebuilt the 350.

Same motor that was in TowNasty and I previously had a 99 crew cab with a 5.7. Im just not a fan of a big block, but im wierd like that.

We had a 99 model with a 350 in it and it got around the same mpgs (12-14) as the 454.

i have a 1999 5.7 smallblock in my 1993 dually. i have no problems towing my camper anywhere, and it weighs 10,800 pounds. gas mileage is around 12-15 mpg. i am not a fan of the big block either. later, brian
