uppers bottoming out

i bought an adjustable set of uppers for my dakota and the truck lifts till they bottom out on the frame horns. i still have an easy 2 more inchs of lift left. should i just notch the frame where they hit or......?

hmmm if possible adjust them out a little more once again if possible if not are you clearing your wheels and tires to be able to drive? Not sure on the old daks how much bracing you have up there but if you have enought to play with then notch it and weld it back up. But i would just cut what you need out test it and if it doesnt work weld the piece back in. I know it sounds a little un experienced but hey know one builds these b*sturds either so let us know what you decide to do. I'm just throwing someing out there i'm not there to take a look at it either. I know with the fullsize rams they have been raising the uppers as well as the f-150's

actually know that I think about it raising the uppers would be making the prob worse.

you can raise it and get more swing out of it and help your camber a lil bit mine hit befor then i raise them 1-1/2 and got hella lift and fixed my camber a bit i have byc arms on my dak it was easy to lift them i jut got a longer bolts and put spacers on the cross shafts but mine is a 97 ni dont know if the obs have the same frme

How are you control arms hitting your frame horns? Those are at the front of the frame.

well not actually the frame horns themselves. but the front frame where they are mounted.sorry on the bad terminology
