i just put a 2.0 in my 2200 and the oil pan is sitting on the center link of my steering. i was wanting to know if anybodys ran in to that problem before and what they did.

The oil pan shouldn't be that close to the steering. Is the 2.0 a Japanese replacement with some goofy oil pan from some other application? I was thinking that if you put your engine mounts on wrong, the pan would hit the crossmember before the steering. People on here lower the engines all the time to clear the hoods with body drops.

yea it is a japanese replacement. i had the motor mounts from that motor on first and the oil pan still hit then i switched to my motor mounts and it still hit. i was thinking about changing the oil pan but they look the same except the dain plug is in a different spot

Hmm. You sure it's a 2.0?

It should be a direct bolt-in. Put the oil pan from your 2.2 to the 2.0. It should bolt right up.

Oh yea, make sure it's not on there backwards
