Ok, I've been getting HELLA emails on this subject. MT MG is still on!! There are tons of minitruckers coming from all over the country for this! It's deff. going to be a good time!
Plans: basically thier are no plans.
Mardi Gras is crazy, you can't plan around it. Since the disaster in New Orleans, they are expecting this years MG to be the biggest. With attendance of more than 3 million people over the course of the 2 week celebration. But we will only be thier for one day (Saturday, Parade Day, The best day) so we only have to fight off a few hundred thousand people...wait. DRUNK PEOPLE in one day!!!
PROS: Everything! Crazy times, tons of people, nakedness, good food, beer and of course the infamous HURRICANES!!
CONS: tons of people...drunk people, could be crazy cold outside, 1hr long waits for bathrooms and super super crowded areas, so if your claustrophobic..MG may not be for you lol.
So for all you MT's out their that plan on coming you will need to find your own hotel rooms. Since most of us are on the Illinois side, I suggest saying in the Fairview Heights, IL area. Their are plenty of hotels right off the interstate.
We plan on all meeting up sometime Sat. afternoon to eat, hangout, whatever & then decide what we all want to do Sat. night. because we will be getting up early early for Sun. big day! So those plans wil be made prolly that day & will figure out what we're going to do for Sunday.
Also we'll more than likely take the metro link over to Soulard instead of driving...I remember my first year walking over 45 min. from where we had to park just to get to where the party was! So driving is def. out of the question!
