ok, i got the fuel pump replaced on my sonoma last night. got it running great, starts up quick, no problems with it. but it's LOUD AS HELL! is this normal for new pumps? at first i could almost hear it over my compressors. if this isn't normal....do i have to get a new one...i had to change that, with 2 jack stands, a spare tire jack, and a parking lot full of cars....i don't wanna do that again.

i know my new one i put on is pretty loud on my sonoma. i thinks its the way they are supposted to sound like (unlike the way they sound before they die) haha.

I have an aftermarket fuel pump and it is loud. And no it doesn't get better.

i had the fuel pump in my silverado replaced and it's quiet. it's an AC Delco that i got from ebay for a fraction of what the dealer wants.
