vin sticker on door

when doin a suicide door where can i get a new sticker for the vin number on the door jamb i need this when goin threw emissions and its going to get cut off

Good question I am interested also. What happens when you swap doors and it did not survive the move?

you dont have to have that sticker as far as I know. I think they look at that one because it is easier to read then the one on the dash. But if you really want it the you have to go to the dealership and you may still not be able to get one. I know ford you can order them but it takes forever to get them. When ever we replace a door we never put them on but that is in Idaho. good luck

there is a place that makes them. you take a digital picture of your orginal sticker, email it to them and they make a new one and send it to you. mite try callin somebodyshops i cant rmemeber the name of the place...

hey jason the sticker is on the cab not the door. and i do have to have it for emissions they scan the bar code thing at the bottom i used to bring all of out cars in from the garage there and they scanned it so i wasnt sure if i had to go to the dealer or to a body shop

^^ that sucks im glad im in a little town in Idaho that I dont have to deal with that stuff. I would guess the bar code just allows them to scan it and not have to type it in(lazy asses) you might call a body shop and see what they do when they have to replace it. Good luck.

Are u cutting it off, at my shop when have to replace hood stickers and stuff, we just cut them off, get the metal straight, and the girl in the office copies it and laminates it and puts some little sticky things on the back and it looks good as new, hope that helps
