powder coat

i am lookin to get a few things powder coated. heres my question when it gets coated before it gets cleared can i still paint in it then clear it. I am lookin to get somthing done black then airbrushed then cleared. Will paint stick to powder coat?

Yes, paint will stick to powdercoat. But you can't put clear powdercoat over paint. It will bubble where the paint is.

but will it be find if i just hit it wit paint clear?

Yes. You'll want to scuff the powdercoat before painting it. I don't see why you need to powdercoat it, you could just paint it with base. The final coating won't be any stronger than paint.
