Lets talk about alcoa 22.5" wheels. been all over the web looking for semi wheels and all i can find are companies ripping people off for plain semi wheels with a machined lip for 22" tires. i mean come on... a wheel that cost less that $200 a rim and a little bit of grinding all for a turn around cost of an average of $3000. a set of 6. Not to mention adaptors with maybe $100 worth of material for a rediculous $600 to $800 a set.

The problem is the machines to build this stuff costs oodles of money. That's why they cost so much.

buy some, mill them, sell them cheaper. problem solved.

Friend just paid close to 6k for his and when you look at the rim where the beed sits its just grinded down about a quarter of an inch. now i ca understand if the wheel was made for a 22" tire then yea but when its done the other way....

sounds like a plan...

for the time it takes to machine each wheel and make it right so the tire bead locks into place and you didn't figure in liabilty then when you make an adapter you need to go price 33mm wheel studs and multiply that by 40 and you'll see where the cost is in them

If you know it all then why are you not selling them for cheaper and beating out the competition?

Who did your friend get them from? Doesn't sound to reputable.

I think this is the right one

I didn't find the price on the wheel studs and nuts but I will

I agree. I think the prices are outrageous...but people are still paying them.
