Windshield crack fix??

About a month or so ago, a truck threw a rock at my windshield and put a nickle size crack in it. Well, today I'm coming back from school and all of a sudden that crack gets about 1.5-2 feet longer. Is there anything I can do to stop it from getting worse? I went to autozone and they had a windshield repair kit but it is for my nickle size crack. Can someone help me out?

You can get a ticker for that here in CA. Its $100. I'd just get it fixed. Once its a crack that bad it needs to be replaced. If you find a ghetto shop they might do it. But it its at all in the drivers line of vision even they won't touch it.

in ny the ticket is 60 plus 50 surcharge =110 when you can get a new wind sheild for like 150 installed

The crack is horizontal about 3-4 inches up from the bottom. Plus it's more on passenger side. It doesn't effect my view at all. You can barely see from outside but you can from inside

yo that shit needs replacement, that is what i do for a living [autoglass] if its bigger than a quarter its not repair able get it replaced, find a shop wont cost too much more than 175 for decent glass,DONT LET THEM PUT IN XYG, FY, LAMISAFE and dont go to safelite shity glass, ask for LOF, PPG , pilkington these are respectable companies with good moulds for winshields that fit good, dont get those shity china companies because THERE IS A SUBSTANTIAL DIFFERENCE IN QUALITY and it will rear its ugly head at the wrong time and you will kick your own ass for not listening to reason.

well if u just want a to stop it from crackin more just take some fine sandpaper and scratch the ends of the crack. it happen to be about month ago and thats all i did and it hasnt cracked anymore. but other than that just replace it
