maybe primer and spray paint the backside after you weld it on?

seems like common sense to me

also a good idea to hit the backside of it with some rockerguard. it'll absorb a bit of impact from road debris instead of chipping like paint will.

i put some rust paint like por or tremclad and then cover it with rock guard works like a hot dam

epoxy prime it, seam seal the edges, then undercoat it, or rockerguard it, and a final coat of rustoleum or tremclad is fine for a driver....if you want show then use paintable rockerguard and cover the with colour match base clear paint.

Por 15 goes directly on bare metal. It will peel off of anything else. Try it and stick some masking tape on it, you'll see what I mean.

whatever you end up putting on it..make sure it can withstand rocks and other road debris hitting it..otherwise you will end up getting a bunch of tiny "uppies" in the outside of your rollpan or skin
