i dont like putting much filler on roofs cause it catches most a lot of heat you can put a roof skin on it for about 300 bux if you know someone who can get parts at cost its really easy to do

but dont you think it will hold for a while

yeah it will probably be ok as long as the metal was ground really good and clean before you added the mud use a good urethane primer and you should be ok

ok thanks

Like stated above, it's all in the prep. And it sounds like you are using a good mud, not Bondo brand or any thing like that. So you should be fine. But for sure use a good primer.

koo. im going to give it 2 coats of epoxy first then filler primer to fill it all up nice.

i'd have to say it's a 50/50 chance. roof skins are designed to flex with the motion of the body, more so with unibody cars, but depending on the locations of the thick areas, you could be ok. the closer they are to a interstructer, the better your chances, as well as with the prep as the other guys stated.

We fix all kinds of dents in roofs and use filler.. Never have any problems. Just don't use cheap filler.
