BD the bed

My friend and I are about to bd my bed floor about 4 1/2 inches, we are looking for suggestions as to how to use the stock mounting brackets in the front of the bed to attach the bed back to the frame. Also was wondering if there was any other way of raising the gastank other than buying the crossmember on suicidedoors.com?? Thanks for any Help and/or Pics.

Raise the floor of the bed 4 1/2 and you can use the front mounts. A for the Gas tank X-member. Fabricate one. If you have no skills, then buy one.
