I dunno, I think a wood block. Or lean it up against something? He abuses the shit out of the bike, I'd be suprised if it was still together. I took pics before I let him have it.

Seth, you build everything yourself don't you? The front end, frame, tank, seat pan, all that?

Yeah I build it all since no one makes parts. I think its fun. I wouldn't want a pre-built frame. Most tanks I build from scratch, some are modified stock tanks. I do the exhaust, seat pans are easy. I usually upholster them myself too.

I won't sell complete bikes again. Bad experience with the last one, so its not worth it. I will sell frames, maybe full rollers, but you will still need to do some fab. I'm thinking about possibly making a production frame around a solid design and a nice rear wheel and tire that would be affordable. But I'd like to see some interest in it. If 2 people are going to buy them, I probably wouldn't do it.

did you just build a jig to hold the frame or what? you have someone else bend them, or you do ityourself? you seem to be able to do just about whatever you can think up haha.

Yeah I have an adjustable jig to do pretty much whatever I want. I sold it a while back when I stopped, I'm going to build another one. I'm also in the process of building a nice compact hydraulic bender to replace the manual one I was borrowing.

If I start to produce a specific frame, I will make a solid fixture for it so that its faster, and I don't have to re-adjust me jig every time I build one.

sounds fun wish I could do something like that, but I wouldnt know where to start. Where did you learn about bikes, and their frames and all? Just being around them?

I learned by trial and error. I grew up around 4x4 trucks and huge lifts. I built my first mini in that shop on top of the welding table without a jig. It worked alright, but I figured out what I wanted to do different from that one and went from there. I've got it down now.
