is there any thing i need to do after i pull it out or can i just scuff it and lay resin and sand, then paint it? thanks for the help

layin resin is a waste of time. pull it out, clean it good w/ thinner, scuff it w/ a scotch brite then shoot some plastic adheasion promoter(dupot 222 is badass) the use a hi build primer(no spray can shit) prime it good then block it and prime it till the texture is gone( DO NOT SAND THROUGH THE PRIMER TO THE TEXTURE) w/ 180 then final sand w/ 320 then wet sand w/ 600, seal it paint it.

high build primer works good, I also use polyester fill (polyfill) its seems to be alot thicker, but still sprays on and sands pretty easy. but either way prep it exactly how james said to and make sure you clean it REALLY REALLY good.

yea i didnt thing about spray polyester. a gallon of primer would work better tho the grain on a ranger dash isnt that bad, should take maybe 3 coats at the most.

since my vents were shaved on my dash -- i did sand down the dash and then fiberglassed it till it was smooth then all the fun primering and painting --it sounds easy but just like any other bodywork its a progress that takes time -- good luck -- show us some pics when your done -- and if you want check my profile for pics of my glassed dash ---
